Nashville Lifestyles' 25 Most Beautiful People 2015
Alberta Doochin — Retired Interior Designer; Lifelong Volunteer
Is there an accomplishment that you are particularly proud to share? When on the board at the The Hermitage, after five straight years of giving fundraisers with my husband Bob, I persuaded the director to let me have a formal dinner (with period food, wine and flowers) on Andrew Jackson’s back porch. It was such a moving and memorable night. After realizing it could be a successful yearly fundraising option, I worked on obtaining all the necessities they needed to accomplish the task, i.e.. linens, crystal, silverware, copies of Andrew and Rachel’s special China, and Lennox vases etc. etc. As a thank you, they named a China Closet after me. I am so proud of that closet! What activity brings you the most joy? That’s easy! Watching our son and his lovely wife, Tiff, get our grandson, Beau (16 months in October) to dissolve in giggles. It cracks me up!
Tell us your go-to salon, spa or other local professional to keep you looking and feeling great? Don’t laugh! The true professional who has kept me feeling and looking great is my chiropractor, Dr. Casey Bearden. How I looked wouldn’t matte—my hair or makeup—if my body weren’t working right.
