Rachel is a recurring character in the version of Children of the Corn.

Biography[]

Rachel was in her early teens when The Gatlin Massacre occurred. It is assumed that she participated in slaughtering all of the adults, and willingly praised He Who Walks Behind The Rows. When the children find out that Burt and Vicky, she, along with all the others, spy on them so they can eventually corner them and sacrifice them.

is present at Amos’ death, when he is murdered by He Who Walks Behind The Rows. Burt shows up, saving Vicky from being crucified, and yells at the cult for killing their parents. He then asks why they’d worship him, if they didn’t know him before Isaac showed up. All of the children except Ruth and Malachi abruptly believe him. However, the demon god is angry, and it is revealed that he actually exists. While Burt destroys the cornfield, Ruth hides in their car to kill them. When Burt climbs in, she attacks him with a sickle, telling him “You must die!” She almost kills him when Vicky knocks her out with the car door, and the small group leaves. It is assumed that Rachel was transported to Hemingford afterward. After that, it is unknown if she was killed or not.

Rachel almost runs into Burt, while leaving the Church, but quickly closes the door. Later, it is revealed that Amos is turning 19, and she is showing the ceremony to the younger children. However, Burt rushes in, asking what’s going on. Amos explains it all, but Rachel grabs a knife and stabs it into Burt’s shoulder. He escapes, but she orders them all to capture him. Later, she is present at Amos’ death, when he is murdered by He Who Walks Behind The Rows. Burt shows up, saving Vicky from being crucified, and yells at the cult for killing their parents.
